What should I do in a power outage?
First check your distribution board: if a circuit breaker or earth leakage has tripped, the problem is in your home. If your neighbours are out too, check whether it is load shedding or a fault, and report faults to your municipality or Eskom. Stay away from fallen cables.
Is this load shedding?
This map shows unplanned outages that the operators report as incidents. Load shedding is scheduled by stage and area; check the schedule for your area with Eskom or your municipality.
Where does this data come from?
